Hey beauties! I bought 2 L'Officiel magazines (March issue) today and both Ed Pinaud eyeshadow palettes happened to be in No 2 Smoky Emerald. Anyone out there looking for this particular shade and wants to swap with me for another Ed Pinaud quad?

I'm looking for the following colours

No 1 Hazelnut Chocolate
No 3 Chocolate Plum
No 4 Mocca Latte

Please let me know if anyone of you has extras of the aforementioned quads or if u just dont like them and would like the Smoky Emerald Quad. I'm more than willing to meet up so that the quads dont get damaged during postage. Thanks!

[edit: if any of u have the above quads and u dont like it or u have extras and don't want to swap with me, i'd be more than happy to buy them off u! but i would assume the price would be the same as the price of the magazine...]

I'VE GOT IT!!!!

I'VE GOT THE ALICE IN WONDERLAND PALETTE WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! actually i only got it because I really adore the story and i love the idea of stepping into the fantasy world and the pop up of the mushroom forest is so pretty! and the colours are very wearable for me, in my opinion, coz i hardly wear any colour other than browns/bronzes/golds. i bought this palette with my ang pao money, what's a lucky number $88 hur hur YES I AM SO HAPPY. and also coz i accumulated like 200+++ bucks at sephora, i got a $40 voucher and i used it and got the too faced pink leopard bronzer. pics up soon! someone has to remind me!!!!

yes and then when i walked past swarovski, i saw they had limited edition alice in wonderland necklaces too. too bad it's most probably out of my budget :(

Hello my fellow makeup junkies!!!! I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but I'm still here! I'm currently in the midst of my exams, and have been cramming like mad :( My exams will end in 3 days! After which I will be flying off the Hong Kong to visit the family and for some awesome shopping :D I really think I'm going mad and why why why do I always procrastinate when it comes to studying?!?! I haven't been posting but I have been keeping up with the rest of the blogs here at OnSugar. Thank you girls so much! Reading all the beauty-realted posts is like the respite I need from my books and it keeps me sane. I will be trying my hand at making videos soon, as my holidays will be coming soon. Wish me luck!!!!!!

MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder Review

Omg my photos are so bad today :(

I'm really sorry but I forgot the exact price for this. I guess it should be around $25 to $35?

Ok so my bf got this for me (well actually I just chose what I wanted and he paid) for my birthday, and I have been using it everyday since. I like how it's a transparent powder, which means I can still set my makeup without looking like I put a ton on. Previously I had been using Silkygirl's loose powder, and I felt that that really clogged up my pores it just made my skin feel dirty. I don't have any known allergies, so this product didn't break me out at all. But then again, I don't usually break out in massive numbers, just one or two occassionally.

The powder is transparent, and like I said, what I like about this product is that it sets my makeup nicely without making me look like I've just put on a ton of makeup. I have not noticed anything about oil control, as I have normal-dry skin and my skin usually does not get very oily. The powders are very finely milled, and it goes on very smoothly without any streaking. I also poked some holes in the sifter seal because as you all already know, loose powders are very messy. I just shake it and tap the bottom of the jar, and then turn it back over and tap the cap, very much like how you would do to mineral powders. Then I take my ELF Studio powder brush and tap it into some of the powder, I only take a little each time, and start to "stipple" it all over my face. I'll take more if I need to, and I concentrate on my T Zone and cheeks. I don't buff it in because I dont want to move the makeup I already put on, for example blush.

So far I feel that it does set my makeup very well and helps it to stay put all day, and it's a nice thing to have especially if you're like me and you really dont like looking like you put a lot of makeup on. It doesn't make my makeup look cakey at all. It's also nice to use for touchups after I blot off some oil from my skin as it gives me a nice powdery canvas to put extra powder blush on top. While I like this product, I don't deem it as a must have, it's just something nice to have when you want very light face makeup. I'm not going crazy over this, but I'm also not disliking it too. It's just something nice to have and if you already have a product that sets your makeup the way you want it to, it's not necessary to get this although it does lengthen the wearing time for makeup.

Yes yes, I know this review is so contradicting, but Prep+Prime transparent finishing powder is really one of those products where you don't have to have it, and yet it'll be a nice addition to your makeup routine and collection. I've been using it everyday so far and I don't see my makeup disappear anymore.

Hope this helps! I think I'll redo this review when I'm not so drowsy with my medicine.

MAC Style Black and Dsquared Haul

OK, I've been waiting a longggggggg time for these two collections, because I happen to like the colour black ALOT, and I think Dsquared is just a nice brand with nice clothes :) I know everyone updated abt this a long time ago but I was waiting for the lip erase to be in at Tangs because I wanted to show a complete haul rather than seperate it.

The loveliest MAC MUA I've ever met is called Kenneth and he works at MAC Tangs. I usually get brushed off by MAC MUAs or get really crappy attitudes/service (or feel put down by their bitchy stares) from them but this Kenneth is an angel. He actually bothered to call me to let me know that the Tangs MAC finally had the lip erase in stock and even held on to a piece for me. Usually I find some MUAs too pushy when it comes to sales, but he really gave me his honest opinions rather than try to sell me more items. For example, I was looking at the Style Black nail lacquers and I asked him what were the differences (because I am quite blind) and he told me not to bother getting the black one because it's just a regular black rather than give me some bull crap abt how that particular black nail varnish has a better formulation shinier blah blah etc. He was also informing be abt which products were alr in the MAC permanent line and suggested that I purchase the limited edition ones instead since they're "collectibles". He even told me which glimmergloss colours were more suitable for me as I was between the two glittery glimmerglosses but because they looked so similar on my lips I asked him for advice and he told me "if you use more pinkish lip colours, blackfire will be more suitable for you" Hence I bought blackfire only. WE NEED MORE MAC MUAs LIKE HIM.

~rant coming~

And on the day I bought Florabundance, I was served by the bitchiest MAC MUA EVER. This happened at MAC Isetan. He had his nose high up in the air and talked DOWN to me. Hello, I'm the customer here shouldn't you try and please me by giving me good makeup advice and good service? The florabundance tester at that particular counter stank so bad and the formulation was sooooooo thick because I think they've left it there for too long, and when I asked him if it was supposed to smell like that or be so terribly sticky and he just said "Ya it's like that" without even bothering to check it. HELLO?! MY NEW FLORABUNDANCE DOES NOT SMELL OR FEEL LIKE YOUR STINKING TESTER AT ALL! He seemed so unhappy to be working there or serving me, maybe he had a bad day but hey I worked in Topman before and even though you are so damn tired and you had a bad day, you still have to suck it up to the customer because at the end of the day it is a sales person's attitude that helps make people's shopping experiences more enjoyable and even if they don't buy an item then and there, they will remember your good service and would go back in future to purchase from you again. He just kept acting like he had a stick shoved up his ass, and seemed so irritated when I was trying on the different lipglosses MAC offers. Hey I'm a girl and I'm fickle like that, I want to find a colour that looks nice on me.

~rant over~

I'm not showing off what I got, but rather showing you so that we can all giggle and get excited over pretty MAC makeup. Btw if I am not making sense, I am very sorry because I'm very groggy from my medication. I'm sick :(

Clockwise L to R : Dsquared Sculpt and Shape duo in Accentuate and Sculpt, Dsquared Lip Erase Lip Balm, Style Black Nail Laquers in Baby Goth Girl and Seriously Hip, Style Black eyeshadow in Gilt By Association, Style Black Glimmergloss in Blackfire

This is my largest haul from mac to date, i usually buy like one item at a time, but I couldn't risk these babies from being sold out!!! Yes I was super kiasu and rushed down to Tangs immediately after school on the day it was launched.

Hope you enjoyce it! and now we can get excited and go "OMG I TTLY BOUGHT THE SAME THING AS U I LOVE IT!!!!!" because we are girls and that's what girls do.

Like xbeanie, I'm undecided about the Sculpt and Shape duos. Are they a must have? What are they like applied to the face? If any of you have it, or know anyone that has it already, please let me know what you think about it!!!! I don't know if I should get it... by the way, I read that the Sulpt and Shape powders are available in single colours, and are those available in Singapore? And is the MAC at Taka a Pro store?

XOXO

STAGE Lipgloss review and some swatches

L to R: 14 Electra, 09 Fortuna, 07 Cassandra, 10 Venus, 06 Diana

From 2, to 4, to 5, I really love STAGE lipglosses!!!!!!!!! The formula is awesome, it's creamy and it glides on to my lips without feeling disgustingly sticky(although I do wish it were a teeny bit stickier so that it would last longer), and it's very pigmented, but it really depends on the colour you choose. For example, on a single "dip" of gloss, Electra comes out very strongly on my lips, while Diana is more sheer. However, the colour can be built with another "dip". The applicator is nice too, a brush instead of the usual doe-foot applicator and allows for very precise application without having to use a seperate brush. And have I mentioned that the gloss applies like a dream? Stage lipglosses are the ones that got me crazy over lipglosses, I was never too keen because the MAC Lipglass really put me off because they were so, so sticky, but with the Stage ones I really never got tired of putting them on, even when I'm at home and about to go to sleep. These don't dry out my lips either, unlike some MAC lipglasses. The Stage lipglosses feel so rich and luxurious on my lips and the quality really surpasses their price. A $25 gloss, this good?! What's more when I bought them it was BOGO, so $25 for 2?! Even better. These glosses have a really pleasant vanilla scent, and they don't taste funky at all. I never expected such a gem to come out of such an unassuming brand. Really. I highly recommend this!

L to R: Electra, Fortuna

L to R: Cassandra, Venus, Diana (heavenlygorgeous, these are the swatches you asked for)

Formulation: A- (needs to be a little bit stickier to increase the staying power)

Colour: I love the ones that I have, and they're all pigmented

Applicator: Brush-type

Do I recommend this?: YES

Will I repurchase? YES

Stage Haul (omg I'm terrible)

Stage Haul because when I went to buy some stuff last week the day before I went to Phuket, there was a one for one deal on the lipglosses, blushes, (I think) lipsticks, eyeshadows and eyeliners as long as they were of the same value, I went in only intending to get one eyeliner, but being the typical aunty that I am, I succumbed to the offer, and walked out the store with 2 lipglosses, 1 eyeliner, 1 single eyeshadow, 1 eyeshadow blending brush and a free mug that says "I love makeup" :D. The third lipgloss I got with my friend on another day sometime this week as both of us wanted to make use of the offer, I'm not sure when this offer ends, but you girls make your way down to Stage and get yourselves some BOGO goodness if u can!

Ok this marks the end of my hauls! I will not be hauling for a long, long, long time, except (of course) when the style black collection is launched :)

MAC birthday haul frm the boyfriend, and 2 more lipglasses

My boyfriend got me the Prep+Prime Translucent Finishing Powder, Slect Moisturecover and a lipglass in Oyster Girl for my birthday, I bought the other two lipglasses in Florabundance and Nymphette on two other seperate occassions.

I've been on a lipgloss kick lately. I find them so much more enticing than eyeshadows now which is really strange because I never really liked lip products. I now have 15 or so lipglosses, and like more than half of them were acquired in the past month. I'm so terrible!!!! I. Need. To. Stop. Spending. Unneccessary. Money.

One more haul!!!
